How It Works

Psychotherapy involves sharing your story – both past and present – to gain an understanding of your identity, relationships, thoughts, and emotions. Sometimes, difficulties experienced in the present can be traced back to the past. Other times, difficulties experienced in the past can continue to take control of our lives – often in negative ways. Learning new skills, searching for insights, seeking wisdom from the Bible, or simply allowing space for reflection are all possible strategies that may be considered.

We are never guaranteed an easy life. And unfortunately, trials are a part of the human experience. However, we can rest assured that the “…God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13). My hope is that psychotherapy offers far more than symptom relief – that it helps you cultivate strength and lasting hope, grounded in God’s truth.
